The year 2020 has been stressful for me. With the Movement Control Order (MCO) and passing of my grandma, it has been tough to even see the bright side of things. However, thankfully there are some things that give me comfort. One of those mnnthings is the dessert I fell in love with, the phenomenal Nut About Nuts.

Everyone loves a good cheesecake. However, what makes a cheesecake a good cheesecake? A cheesecake can be savoury (and served with crackers as an appetizer), however, most of us think of the term as describing a luscious, rich and sweet dessert. The texture can vary greatly – from light and airy to dense and rich to smooth and creamy depending on the ingredients and mixing methods used.

What I think of when someone offers me a cheesecake is a dense and creamy cheesecake that practically melts in my mouth. Now, imagine the same cheesecake drenched in warm chocolate and caramel syrup.
No, wait! There is more. Imagine that same cheesecake dipped in both chocolate and caramel goodness adorned with not one but two types of nut.

Nut About Nuts is a creamy cheesecake on a stick drenched with a generous amount of Nutella and caramel. If that wasn’t enough, the dessert is then garnished with a variety of nuts such as macadamia and peanuts. A bite is more than enough to melt away whatever stress I have.
How I Found Nut About Nuts?
My brother Hari is the person I have to thank for this. A close friend of mine, Nico, visited me in Malacca after the MCO. We had planned a full day of gallivanting around Malacca checking out wonderful museums and scouring for food. However, we were utterly disappointed when we found the museums and galleries still remained close to the public. I felt sorry for Nico because she just wasted a trip.

That was when Hari suggested we tried a café called Truly Two Café. A café that he enjoyed going because of the waffle dessert they have. Even though I intended to try Hari’s dessert recommendation at first, after seeing the menu I fell in love with Nut About Nuts. This was definitely a good choice!

I’d say yes to Truly Two Café because I have many fond memories here. It is a place where I can escape to when my busy work schedule overwhelms me. The quiet and cosy ambience provides me a safe space to relax. Whenever I want to catch up with my family and friends, this is my go-to place. Not to mention that their desserts can melt away any stress you have with just a bite and leave you wanting more. The location is just perfect with enough parking spots. Their friendly staff greet you with smiles and make you feel welcome. And to make life easy they accept almost all types of payment method, from GrabPay to cold hard cash.
